How do I register as a member of an associate organisation? First you will need to check that your organisation is registered on the site. (See associates menu). If your organisation is registered, click 'Sign Up Free' and follow the onscreen instructions. I can't remember my password, what do I do? Enter your email address and click 'I forgot my password'. Follow the onscreen prompts to 'reset your password and you will then be sent a link by email to do this.
How can I change my password? Log into your account and select 'my pages' and then 'my account'. You will see your account details to the right of the screen with the ‘password’ box with the option to change your password.

How do I search for a course? There are several ways to perform a course search. 1) Keyword Search - Select the 'Courses' menu then in the 'Narrow selection' pane to the right of the screen enter a word you wish to search for in the Keyword search box. Press 'enter' on your keyboard or click the 'Apply criteria' button at the bottom of this pane. 2) Browse courses by subject - Under the 'Browse courses by subject' heading on the home page, select the subject area for the course you require. For example, if you are looking for an IT course, select the ‘Information and communication technology’ icon. This will bring up all courses added to this subject field. You can continue to narrow the search down by doing a keyword search (shown above).
What can I do if the course I would like to do is not on MLS? Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your query and we will notify you of forthcoming dates for this or similar courses. If we have no plans to commission such events we will inform you.
How do I know if there are any places left on a course? If a course says ‘Course full’ it means there are currently no places available to book. However, please keep checking ‘MLS as there may be cancellations and places made available. Back to main menu
How do I book on a course? Once registered on MLS, search for the course (see ‘search for a course’ above) you want to attend. If there are places available select ‘Book now’ and you automatically secure a place.
Does my manager have to approve my booking before I'm confirmed a place on a course? Please note it is assumed (from the sites Terms and conditions) that you will have had a conversation with your manager and agreed any courses prior to booking so that any costs are budgeted for. There is no authorisation process before your booking is approved by your manager, they will however receive an email notification of your booking
I did not receive a confirmation email of my course booking, why? In the first instance, please check that your registration email address on MLS is correct, if not please amend this. If all your details are correct please email email@example.com
Can I book a course for another member of staff? In response to your query below each of your colleagues will need to register themselves on My Learning Source and book the relevant course. The system is set up to administer courses for individuals only.
Where is the training taking place? Find the course on MLS and either click the course title or ‘more’ which will open a page providing all details of the course including venue, description, prerequisites, etc.
I was not able to complete the last day of my training, can I re-book without being charged? When booked, you booked for and agreed to the terms for the entire course. If you are unable to attend any of these pre-designated days may still incur a charge for the entire course but please email firstname.lastname@example.org and your email will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
I completed the training, why did I receive an email saying I did not? If the attendance list is not updated by the trainer within 48 hours of the course taking place, all delegates automatically receive a '...Not Completed' email and details of the course will not appear in their account. However, do not be alarmed as we are able to update the attendance list as soon as we receive the attendance details and your account will be updated.
The course I am looking for is full; can I be put on a waiting list? I am afraid we do not have a waiting list system but please continue to check the website regularly as some previously booked places are made available through cancellations.
How do I cancel a course I have booked? Login to your account, select the 'My pages' button in the top right hand corner of the screen and on the second menu select 'My courses'. You will see a list of both up coming and past courses, with the option to ‘cancel’ course. Please note cancellations need to be made up to 7 days before the course starts, if you want your team/organisation to avoid incurring any charge.
I am unable to attend the course and it is too late to cancel, how do I send a substitute? Please ensure your substitute informs the trainer that s/he is a substitute for you otherwise your team/organisation will incur a charge for you not attending and an additional charge for your substitute attending. However, when you inform the trainer they can make the substitution on line so that only one place is booked for your substitute. Back to main menu
How do I enter my qualifications on my account? Log into your account, select 'my pages' and then 'my qualifications'. Click on ‘Add qualification [+]’ this will open a dialogue box for you to select and enter further information. Click your qualification from the ‘Select qualification’ drop-down box, complete all the other required fields and then click ‘add qualification’.
The CPD hours for the course I attended are incorrect, what should I do? Please email email@example.com with the details of the course title and date, etc.
Why is the course I attended, not credited to my account? If the trainer has not completed the attendance list the course will not show up in ‘my courses’
How can I get my professional qualification listed on the qualifications menu? Email firstname.lastname@example.org with the qualification and details of the categories it should fall under. Back to main menu
Where do I find the evaluation form for the course I attended? Once the trainer updates your attendance on MLS you should receive an automated email from MyLearningSource with a link to your evaluation form. I completed a hand written evaluation form, why do I need to complete one online? Any hand written evaluation forms you complete will be for the trainer and the training organisation. However, as course commissioners it is important that the Organisational Development team in Southwark is able to monitor training courses and delegate feedback for quality assurance.
How do I view my completed evaluations for courses? MLS is still in development stage and therefore the option to view your evaluation feedback is not available, however we are looking into this. Back to main menu

Why did I receive a course reminder over the weekend, when I am not at work? Course reminders are sent out 48 and 24 hours before a course starts respectively. Therefore if your course is on Monday you will receive a reminder on Saturday.
