This course is for Council Tax Benefit staff ONLY.  This course is designed to give delegates a detailed overview and statutory requirements for billing, collection, recovery and enforcement of local taxation.

Prerequisites for attendance:

• Explain what happens when a council tax bill is not paid
• Describe the different ways in which the collection of council tax can be enforced
• Define the rules regarding what happens when someone dies and they still owe council tax
